What Is Currency Wars?

You assemble a team of up to 10 characters on a tactical board and fight in automated combat. You progress through three planes of battle nodes, defeat a final boss, and manage your squad’s HP. The mode runs on a bi-weekly rotation (with modes like Divergent Universe) and focuses on strategy, synergy, and economy rather than manual turn-by-turn control.

Team Building: On-Field vs Off-Field

On-Field (4)	You control these in battle. Placing a character in their on-field slot can unlock or enhance abilities (e.g. Firefly gains a powerful boss move).

Some units can be either on-field or off-field; their kit changes with position.

The Economy

Gold Coins are the main resource. You use them to: refresh the Store for characters, buy EXP to raise your account level (and max team size), and recruit characters. Earn Coins from reward nodes, Bond effects, win streaks, and winning battles. Interest: for every 10 Coins saved, you get +1 bonus Coin after a battle (up to +3). Saving early to earn interest is a core strategy.

Character Recruitment, Cost & Rarity

All characters are available as trial versions if you don’t own them. Owned characters use your progression; under-built ones are boosted to a template. Characters have a cost from 1 to 5 (shown by colour: Grey=1, Green=2, Blue=3, Purple=4, Gold=5). Higher cost usually means a stronger base kit; lower-cost units often scale better when starred up. Buying 3 copies merges into 2-star, and 3× 2-star into 3-star. A 3-star low-cost unit can outperform a 1-star high-cost one.

Bonds (Faction Synergies)

Deploying multiple characters from the same Bond unlocks team-wide effects. Mixing Bonds is key to strong comps.
